Queensland Mayor upset Gillard didn't call

A QUEENSLAND mayor is upset Prime Minister Julia Gillard visited flood victims in his city, but didn't contact him.

Ms Gillard spoke to Goodna residents, west of Brisbane, yesterday, whose homes went under in the floods earlier this year.

Ipswich mayor Paul Pisasale says he's disappointed Ms Gillard did not contact him about her visit.

"Look, I just don't understand; she came here during the floods and she spoke to me and she knows me and I just don't understand why she is coming into my city," Mr Pisasale told ABC Radio.

"And if she wants to know what's happening 11 weeks on, a simple phone call, `I'm coming in Paul, what's the issues' and I would have given her a whole page full."
