A former executive director of the Queensland Retail Traders and Shopkeepers Association (QRTSA) has been committed to stand trial for victimising directors of a superannuation fund.

Ian Baldock has appeared in the Brisbane Magistrates Court on two charges of victimisation.

The Australian Prudential Regulation Authority (APRA) is alleging Baldock targeted two trustee directors of a superannuation fund linked to the QRTSA.

The court was told an employee and an auditor of the QRTSA suffered financial losses after they were sacked for carrying out their legal obligations as trustee directors.

The matter has been listed for trial in the District Court in Brisbane on a date to be fixed.
