The Queensland Government has decided to purchase another five properties affected by mine subsidence in the Ipswich suburb of Collingwood Park.
Queensland Minister for Mining Stephen Robertson says the Qld Govt isn't liable for the subsidence, but the latest acquisition means it is buying twenty-nine properties at a total price of over $10 million.

COMMENT: This is a good decision by the Queensland Government.
The Minister Stephen Robertson should be congratulated on his handling of this very difficult issue.
