Lawrence Springborg - the beekeeper from Southern Downs - has been elected as the leader of the Queensland Liberal National Party.
He'll either be the Opposition Leader or Premier within the next week depending upon the outcome of the election in Maryborough, Whitsunday and Ferny Grove.
The Borg has been unsuccessful three times as Opposition Leader in his attempts to become Premier of Queensland.
He is either a complete sadist or masochist or perhaps both!

Or maybe he'll perform like a stingless Australian native bee.
Having John-Paul Langbroek as his deputy won't be much help!
